A multisig (short for multi-signature) wallet is a type of digital wallet that requires multiple signatures, or approvals, to conduct a transaction. This type of wallet provides an additional layer of security for cryptocurrency transactions. In a multisig wallet, each transaction must be authorized by two or more parties before it can be executed, making it an effective tool for managing corporate funds, shared accounts, or any situation where funds need to be controlled by multiple stakeholders. Multisig wallets also provide redundancy; if one key is lost, the other key(s) can still access the funds.
